Andreas Nilssen Skorpen joined Rystad Energy in 2019. He have since 2022 been based in Singapore, serving our clients in Asia, Andreas is relocating back Oslo, Norway in 2024. Andreas’ project expertise spans transactional support, due diligence and strategy studies. Andreas was responsible for developing Rystad Energy’s view on hydrogen demand, knowledge which is today offered through Rystad Energy’s hydrogen solutions.
He finds power systems interesting and is eager to discuss the role of gaseous commodities in future power markets, a necessity for a reliable energy transition. This is a key topic Andreas have leveraged in his work on gas midstream infrastructure transactions in the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
Andreas is a regular speaker at conferences in southeast Asia. In 2023 Andreas presented at 6 different venues on various topics (gas monetization, clean shipping, policy drivers for the energy transition, upstream trends etc.). Andreas presented Rystad Energy’s views at SOGCE, World FPSO congress, NABS in Bangkok among others. In addition, Andreas was the author of the 2023 “Global Gas Report” published in partnership with Snam and the IGU (International Gas Union).
Prior to joining Rystad Energy, Andreas worked as a consultant with Deloitte in Oslo. He holds a MSc in Engineering Mechanics from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH, Stockholm). In his spare time he is an avid snowboarder who have in recent years gradually replaced adrenaline with cardiovascular activities.
