Andrew Shepard joined Rystad Energy in 2018. He is a Principal in Rystad’s Houston office and has helped to grow Rystad’s consulting practice in the region. As a Principal, Andrew works closely with clients to align engagements with client needs and to coordinate project execution. Andrew has a decade of experience across energy analyst and consulting roles and has advised clients across the energy industry.
With a background in the midstream and downstream sectors, Andrew has led over a dozen due diligence processes across pipelines, gathering systems, terminals, production platforms, liquefaction plants, and refineries. Andrew has also advised producers, LNG companies, NGOs and financial institutions on oil and gas emissions, emissions reduction opportunities, CCUS, and the impact of emission-related policies. More recently, Andrew has guided investors, developers, and offtakers through the emerging clean hydrogen landscape.
Andrew has presented Rystad’s market views and insights at various conferences and forums, including views on methane emissions, North American oil and gas infrastructure, and hydrogen. Outside of work, Andrew is an avid mountain biker and rock climber.
Prior to joining Rystad Energy, Andrew held roles across research and consulting at Wood Mackenzie. Andrew holds a BBA in Economics from Texas State University, Summa Cum Laude.
