Life before Rystad Energy
Prior to joining Rystad, I studied at NTNU in Norway, where I did a master's degree in Industrical economics and technology management specializing within mechanical engineering and operations research. I had already been exposed to the energy industry through various previous internships as well as a master thesis where the topic was LNG supply chains.
Why did you choose Rystad Energy?
I chose Rystad as I enjoy working with data and I find the energy industry super interesting, and here I get to combine the two. After a summer internship where I felt like I was given the opportunity to both make an impact and use my strengths to provide value for Rystad, there was no doubt in my mind that this was a good place to start full-time, and so far that has only been proven right.
What makes Rystad Energy stand out for you as an employer?
Being an international company that covers energy markets worldwide, you have as a Rystad employee a unique opportunity to meet and work with people from all over the world. I collaborate daily with colleagues from our other offices in Asia, Europe or the Americas, and regularly have meetings with clients from every corner of the world. This naturally international environment I don’t think is easy to find in many of the bigger firms.
What are your passions outside of work?
Outside of work I enjoy spending time outdoors, in particular hiking, skiing or climbing. I love learning new things and at the moment I’m in the early stages of learning jiu-jitsu as well as doing some additional data analysis studies on the side.
